VW Cruise to the Prom - Weston Super Mare. England

Hi there!
Today the sun is shining (it is quite strange for England) so I decided to go to Weston Super Mare. There was a nice show today, I had to buy something for Horbie and knew that the seller would be there.
Hence around 10 o'clock I left Bristol driving my shit*y Clio S1200 towards West.
After a nice 40 minutes drive (nice due to the English countryside, not to the Clio) I arrived to Weston Super Mare. I parked the car nearby the beach and noticed that the seaside reminds me a bit Viareggio, a very nice city in Tuscany! (Viareggio is nicer!)

I started walking around the shiny old cars and found a very nice atmosphere, people chilling out doing BBQ, or eating on the roof of a bulli!
I saw also few cars featured on Volksworld. This show was not only aircooled, very nice T4 and Golf were there and it was a quality day.
After a very nice cheeseburger eaten in the sun, where I suntanned my forehead, I met Martin (the seller) a very nice guy that write on Volkszone, the biggest VW forum in the UK!
It was good to put a face to a nickname!
I bought a set of adapters in order to fit the rims that you can find in one of the previous posts.
Now there is an issue, how to bring that at home, send it to Italy or put in the hold luggage?

Ciao a tutti, finalmente oggi ritorno a scrivere.
Oggi qua nella West Coast dell'Inghilterra splende il sole, quindi mi sono deciso ad andare a Weston Super Mare, dovevo prendere un pezzo per Horbie e sapevo che il venditore sarebbe stato la.
Verso le 10 dopo un espresso sono partito con la mia penosa Clio S1200 in direzione ovest, dopo una 40ina di minuti veramente piacevoli (per il panorama non per la macchina) sono arrivato a Weston Super Mare, non appena sceso dalla macchina mi affaccio sul lungomare e mi sembra di essere a Viareggio, ovviamente Viareggio è molto piu carina, però è stata una bella giornata, bella atmosfera, bei mezzi!
Gente che faceva BBQ, altri che mangiavano sopra il tetto dello split....
Dopo un buon cheesburger mangiato al sole ho incontrato il venditore che avevo conosciuto su Volksone, è stato bello mettere una faccia ad un nickname....
ho preso degli adattatori per montare i cerchi che potete trovare nei post sotto...
Lo so che non ho scritto le solite cose in Inglese ed in Italiano, ma è già tanto che sono tornato a scrivere!

il prossimo lavoro che faro su Horbie...freni per frenare bene, 87m dei tamburi contro 52m dei freni a disco potrebbero fare la differenza...tra una pancassella e una frenata!

è un po' che non scrivo sul blog, Horbie adesso riposa in garage, lo volevo portare in UK, ma poi c'è la storia delle targhe e non mi piace il tutto....
non è detto che in futuro non lo porti su!

Contagiri Porsche

eccolo arrivato dall'UK un bel contagiri di un Porsche 924...lo so che il misuratore di MPG (miglia per gallone) non c'entra niente, ma mi piaceva e l'ho preso... poi per sole 35 £ spedito in Maremma!!
inoltre il giallo dei numeri si abbina bene all'arancio di Horbie!
..sono andato in una ferramenta per prendere il materiale per fare il supporto al contagiri e m'è toccato un vecchietto rinco....va beh...però il lamierino è vintage e cosi ho fatto soltanto un forellino nel cruscotto!!
